Northern Illinois Irrigation News: The following are some recent projects in which NII has used smart design and technology to improve system efficiency and help enhance a beautiful landscape.

Stepan Company, Northfield This has been a wonderful multi-phased system upgrade, bringing the Stepan - Northfield complex a more efficient system, with smart technology managing their water distribution. This system is saving over 40% of previously wasted water prior to this smart improvement. Bedford Park, IL Our friends in Bedford Park have allowed us to irrigate their beautiful Archer Avenue landscaping improvement, as well as Railroad Park, Bedford Park District Building, The Swanson Center Improvement, The (old) Municipal Building, The Public Library, and the New Municipal Building in 2016. Countryside Funeral Home - Bartlett Our friends at Countryside of Bartlett have improved their existing system to include a Rainbird ESP-SMT “Smart” controller to help save over 40% of previously wasted water. Lakewood Falls HOA The Lakewood Falls Improvement is by far our proudest achievement so far! This 2-square-mile community’s associated property is irrigated by two separate systems, using the stormwater management lakes to supply water to these systems. NII took over management of this system when it was not in working order in the fall of 2011. Since then, we’ve installed a new 40hp VFD drive pump station, we’ve repaired the 20hp pump station, and installed phases one through three of a 4-year IQ Central Control Improvement that will enable proper management and control over this system. We will continue to update you to this exciting improvement.
